It’s sad to see what Activision/Blizzard became. Greedy, irresponsible and anti-social. Bobby is due for the F-Y-Y-F-F-Award, it’s well deserved.

Straight out delightful to watch how the Ski-Princess put the entire list of competitors in their place. All out or nothing – the key to victory. Being able to adapt so quickly to a track, even after being injured is what makes a champion.

It’s just funny to watch the sore losers claim that they only had one training and all that – newsflash: you’re called a pro because you’re supposed to work through difficult situations! One training should suffice to know where you have to go.

Up until now I thought Lindsey has to work under the same circumstances, she too only has 2 sticks, 2 skis and whatnot but maybe she is from another star.

Earlier we mentioned that he wants to increase prices for the PC and the reasoning was a weak dollar – as if it has anything to do with it. Good game Bobby, thats another great way to increase piracy. But why will piracy increase? Sure you gladly pay 10 bucks more if you get a kickass game, right? True, but with his latest statement he surpassed his arrogance again and makes me weep for the videogame industry and the Activision employees.

To cut down to what stirred up lots of gamers around the globe is the following statements:

“the goal that I had [at Activision]…about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games.”

and

“skepticism, pessimism, and fear” are used to keep employees “focused on the deep depression.”

This is the worst statement I’ve heard from any CEO so far. Blizzard can be happy that they are relatively independent. Such behaviour actually BROUGHT this current economic crisis down on us. Mr. Kotick gets a nice paycheck every year so if he falls, he falls quite soft. But the guy that works for minimum wage and codes games for all of us goes to work and is afraid to lose it every day, resulting in a higher mistake output, overall unhappyness – now you don’t need to be a Yale graduate to realise that unhappyness pretty much kills enthusiasm about what you do at work and when we’re in the game industry it will ultimtely result in bad games. No more details, no more innovation, we just ride the hype wave and do whats currently cool among the society.

He talks about implementing Facebook for his Guitar Hero now… Hello can you hear me all the way back there? If Activisions tactic is to be one step behind all the time, the company will sooner or later feel the implications of what Bobby says and does.

In a state of depression you need to energize your workforce by creating diversity and make them enjoy work. If you love what you do, then you won’t mind to work more and harder. You get up every morning eager to reach work and put all your energy into what you’re creating. When you appreciate your work and feel a mutual respect and trust between you and your superiors you rise above yourself and drive innovation and good results.

When the next economic crisis comes crushing down on us, people like Bobby will be responsible for it. It is sad that they’re not realising it even though we could learn so much from the mistakes we’re making now.

This is the reason why he will never be mentioned as a leader that brought difference and will never be appreciated cross-company wise.

This movie is going to blow your mind! You should definately, and I command you to do so, go and see that movie. Preferably in 3D in a big IMAX theather near you. The story may appear simple and told in a few words compared to the visual effects you’re getting. It is downright amazing and very intense… the glowing environment and the animation of the various characters which can be encountered throughout the film.

The story is that of a disabled Marine who is travelling to a distant world to get a new body and from there the whole story takes off into this magnificent computer generated landscape of AVATAR. Ridicilously detailed fauna and flora and my god the beasts romaing through the jungle-like area are animated in a way we want CGI characters to be animated.

This is without a doubt the highlight of the movie year 2009. Go see it, December 18th, worldwide release of James Cameron’s AVATAR

PS: Even better yet, they’re making a videogame out of that! Go Ubisoft!

This has obviously been an act of revenge. Reason was a 17 year old being killed by a moving train while running away from a regular police stop-and-search operation. If there is nothing to hide, you won’t have to run. The flyer which called for the illegal demonstration reads something like “three teens were brave enough to avoid a stop-and-search operation..” I stop right there to throw something in for you to read carefully: THAT WASN’T BRAVE, THAT WAS PLAIN STUPID. So, while doing so one of them got hit by a train and died. WHO’s fault is it really? The Police for doing their job, the evil choo-choo train or the idiot that was running away like some lowlife criminal?

Is that a reason to cause havok and chaos and destroy the property of other people that have nothing to do with any of the above? How can you be so irrational and narrow minded? Running around demanding Anarchy and whatnot – do they even realise how a world like that would look like – Of course they don’t.

Oh and just to add the most important thing, while burning down cars and throwing stones and bottles you risk to kill or heavily injure others – would that bring back the guy that got run over? Where is the logic there? Yes, you fail to deliver one. Why do we even bear such people, why do we have to put up with their crap? I for my part, I am sick of them.

So kids, remember: DON’T EVER START UP AN ILLEGAL FILESHARING HUB, GET SENTENCED TO SPEND ONE YEAR IN PRISON, PAY 900K IN DAMAGES AND THEN RAKE IN 7.8 MILLION DOLLARS.
