MACHINE HEAD

It all started off early 2003 as a mere idea to put a permanent sign on my body. Thinking
about it, this idea followed me for 3 years, sometimes the urge to do it was stronger and
sometimes it was barely noticed. However, after 3 years of intense thinking and working
out an idea I reached for a decision.

It had and will be done. The whole process of finding an appropriate Tattooist turned out
to be a hell of a lot easier than expected. Maybe I was just being lucky but I felt this would
be the place after seeing some pieces of work. Soon after, the first meeting was set and I
presented my idea to the artist. Now I had to wait for him to come up with the picture in
my head.

After gazing upon the sketch of how my future Tattoo is going to look I stood several
seconds transfixed in the room. It was better than I, myself imagined it to be. The dates
were set and the countdown began. The whole process took me roughly 10 hours. I never
even once regretted doing it and yes I would do it again anytime. Is it painful? I won’t say
no but I won’t say yes either. It all depends on ones level of pain perception. Surely
certain body parts may be affected more easily. I can only encourage people who wish to
have a tattoo to pursue the idea, after a considerable amount of thinking that is. It took
me 3 years to figure out what would suit me best. I did right with not going after the first
picture in my head.
